In the next line graphic we could
see the amount of money spent on books in four different countries: Germany,
France, Italy and Austria. This situation is evaluated since 1995 to 2005, what
means that this study considerate a range of 10 years. Concerning to the
money, this is measured in millions of US dollars.
To begin the description of the
graphic we could see that in Germany in 1995, expenditure on books was surround
the 80 millions US dollars, this values were gradually increase until 1999,
where the amount of money spent raise in 10, reaching the 90 millions US
dollars. In the years after 1999 the quantity slowly decline, until 2003 where
expense were around 83 millions of US dollars. Surprisingly, the next two years
the quantity experienced a considerably improve, reaching an amount around 95
millions US dollars, the most high value since 1995.
Concerning to France, it could be
said that between 1995 and 2001 the quantity spent on books experiment a continuous rise,
increasing from 55 millions US dollars to almost 70. Then, in 2001, the values
continue growing but in a slowly way, reaching in 2005 a spent of 75 millions
US dollars on books.
In relation to Italy, we could
see that between 1995 and 1997 the expense suffered a climb, spending approximately 55 millions US dollars in this topic. The years after, since
1997 to 1999 the values regulary go down, reaching the low expenditure for this
country: 49 millions US dollars. Then, since the 2000s the amount of money
spent only experienced an increase, achieving 52 millions of US dollars.
The last country
to describe is Austria. In this case the graphic shows a continuous grown
until 1999, achieving 40 millions US dollars. Then the values remain constant
until 2001, where the expenditure increase rapidly, reaching around 60 millions
US dollars in 2003. Finally, between 2003 and 2005 the quantity continue
climbing, until 62 millions US dollars.
In conclusion, is possible to say that all the countries experimented an increase in the amount of money spent in books during the years. Also that some of them experienced more fluctuations that others like Italy or Germany. Now, if we organiced the values in order of decreasing in 2005, we could see that Germany spent more money in books, then comes France, Austria and Italy. Finally, to know the reasons of the situation of every country we can do a specific research of this topic.
